About Him

Ziyang Wang obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems (EEIS) at the University of Tokyo. When he is not immersed in research, he devotes himself to exploring the General Yin-Yang Philosophy, which was derived from Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do (JKD) martial arts theory and serves as a core principle underlying his research. He is committed to extending this philosophy from JKD to applications across all fields. His dream is to put a stopper in death and achieve immortality. In his spare time, he also enjoys working out, playing guitar, practicing front somersaults, driving, and traveling.

Research Interests

His research interests include:

• Development of highly effective sleep-inducing audio
• Ultra-early cancer detection using attosecond laser
• Intelligent wearable health management system for patients with severe mental disorders
• Day-ahead electricity price forecasting
• Low-energy miniature wearable air-conditioner development
• Decipher Japanese kana’s hidden meanings through both human insights and machine learning
• Carbon nanotubes (CNTs)-assisted high thermal conductive heat sink development
• Physiological indices-based thermal comfort modeling
• Other prediction models including intraday market electricity price forecasting, small-hydro power generation forecasting, and real-time/long-term vehicular CO₂ emission estimation

Hail to the Great Bruce Lee

Enlighten me.

Bruce Lee was not only a legendary martial artist, but also the philosophical mentor who first awakened me and profoundly shaped my way of thinking. His ideas inspired the development of my General Yin-Yang Philosophy and taught me to seek truth beyond convention and to unite opposites. This section is dedicated to honoring his spirit and enduring influence.
